Creative Perspectives: Sofie Holst Nyvold

Copenhagen is more than a place. It is a feeling shaped by creative minds, quiet rituals, craftsmanship, and human connection. We feature local creatives who inspire us through the way they see, live, and move through the city.

Copenhagen invites you to slow down and notice your surroundings.

What Inspires You About Copenhagen?

What inspires me most about Copenhagen is the way the city invites you to slow down and notice your surroundings. Early mornings at Helgoland Badeanstalt, people biking through the city, local wine bars, and small cafés that feel more like living rooms all create a unique sense of balance between city life and calm.

Favourite Season:

Late summer is my favourite season in Copenhagen. The city feels softer and slower, and the light becomes warm and golden in a very special way.

Copenhagen in Three Words:

Friendly. Calm. Creative.

Living and working in Copenhagen has shaped the way I see aesthetics, balance, and everyday life. The city constantly inspires me creatively.

I love biking around the city with my son and discovering new streets, cafés, and hidden corners along the way. Every neighbourhood has its own atmosphere and charm.
